THE ANALOG CONSOLE

The console is a D&R DAYNER from 1986
30 channel mixdown, 8 aux sends and 8 floating subgroups
We keep the console fully maintained, we constantly upgrade parts in each channel or master section.
in 2020 we did a full recap with Nichicon KA audio & Nichicon Muse capacitors and we replaced all TL074 and TL072 opamps.
in 2024 we replaced the micamps with Fairchild 560BC transistors and NE3555 opamps in the master section.
Recently we replaced the ceramics with mica capacitors or wima mks2 capacitors.
We also check the resistors to keep the console in top notch shape.
These days the console gives you that "big fat transparent sound" D&R Consoles are known for.
for more info on the console you can download the brochure or manual below.

TRACKING ROOM

Tracking room is a small room specifically build to minimize standing waves and to have natural acoustics.
Translates music very well meaning the bass response mids and highs are in line with what you hear on other speaker systems outside this room.
For playback there are original YAMAHA NS10M monitors, wired with VANDENHUL cable and driven by an ALESIS RA500 amplifier.
Additional speaker systems also available but the NS10's are our standard set for playback.
It can be quickly crowdy in the tracking room so we provide playback in the live room trough RCF ART-715 full range speakers.
Wich is a great listing experience on its own, but nevertheless keeps it transparent.
All wiring except for the speaker monitors is done with VANDAMME cable.
All connections are terminated to keep the studio lifted from the ground and free of hum.
ANALOG TAPE
BAKING ANALOG TAPES
Tape baking is €50 per batch. Most older tapes and tapes of certain formulas need to be dehydrated,
or “baked” at a low temperature in a convection oven before they can be transferred or played back. Usually around 24-hours.
Please do not use an conventional oven or kitchen oven at home. This wil set you're tapes on fire.
Bake time will usually determine the time table for most transfers, and varies by project. Please contact us for more info.
More information about tape baking is explained in this video
